Background information:
Amaranthine is my baby. Most of the base ideas came out during my early Grade school years on a forum where my friends and I role-played characters based on elements. When that role-play died, I got permission from everyone there to continue the story. I mostly rewrote most of our role-play in story form, and I let it died after I lost interest. In my senior year in high school, I dug out the manuscript from my basement and decided to rework the story for the culminative project. I did a lot of character work during this time, and only finish the first chapter for the final. For the National Novel Writing month (Nanowrimo) it is my intention to actually write the story for it since I already have the base for the story.

Plot Blurb:
Nothing lasts forever. That's what they always thought to themselves everyday of their lives. Eight children are suddenly awakened by the cry of their desperate teacher calling for their help. As a result of their total loyalty to him, they head out to his island in attempt to figure out what has happened to their precious companion. What they find is not what they have expected. Through the disappearance of their sensei, they end up in a desperate fight with themselves, and with each other.

Characters:
- Althea (Light): A cheerful senior student in a high school in Canada. She is highly involved in the visual arts in her school. She is a gentle soul who would do anything to make everyone else happy, even if it means she'll sacrifice her own happiness for the wellbeing of others.
- Rivilia (Ice): A slightly anti-social visual arts student in a high school in Canada, currently experiencing her own boost of teenage angst and social anxiety. Most people find her stuck-up or self-centered because of her withdrawn personality, and her ability to look uninterested in most things. Most of this is because of a wall she has built around her heart over the years. Originally from France.
- Eulalia (Silence): Silent, withdrawn, totally scornful of human beings. This is the result of many years of being unable to hear anything through her ears, and developing the ability to read intentions of other people in the world. Impulsive, jealous, and highly cynical, but also cunningly clever.
- Raebourne (Lightning): A quirky classic rock loving nerd who loves to be number one in everything. He doesn't work for what he has, but still gets top results despite his lack of effort or interest. He tends to be very impulsive and likes to yell out random phrases when he's bored out of his mind. Also slightly obssessed with power and a quick-thinker.
- Ceridwen (Wind): A socially uncomfortable shy girl, she looks over the changes in the wind patterns in the Welsh mountains of Snowdon. Although very chatty around people she knows well, she carries a very awkward conversation with them.
- Marlen (Earth): Ceri's half-brother and also lives with his sister in the mountains of Snowdon. He has a strange type of leadership ability in the group for he's usually the first person to think calmly and logically. He can be terribly over-protective of his sister, but alas, that comes with the role of being the older brother.
- Uriel/Riley (Fire): Also a man of few words, he has a heart of gold. Silly, childish, but extremely dedicated.
